MILAN — 22 January 2026 — The Scientology Volunteer Ministers have set up their iconic Yellow Tent in Milan, creating a visible meeting point for practical help and one-to-one guidance, alongside everyday “Tools for Life” that can be applied to real-life difficulties. Already seen in major cities such as New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent is designed to let residents meet trained volunteers directly and learn simple steps for handling stress, improving communication and resolving conflicts, as well as support after personal emergencies.
Volunteer Ministers are local citizens trained through 19 introductory “Tools for Life” courses covering communication, relationships, study skills, workplace challenges and conflict resolution. The approach is focused on the individual: understand what the person faces and provide an actionable technique.
In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during major emergencies including L’Aquila (2009) and Emilia-Romagna (2012), and have also assisted during flooding in the Marche region (2022) and Romagna (2023), working alongside local institutions and civil protection actors to help clear homes and public spaces.
In Milan, activity expanded during the COVID-19 period with sanitisation initiatives and distribution of basic necessities. Organisers say volunteers then continued with community care work, news eu ai act including over 160 consecutive Saturdays of community clean-up and support, extending across all nine municipalities of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as sending essential goods to Ukraine.
